We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Sales to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Regional Director of Sales & Revenue and General Manager.

Position Summary:


The Sales Leader is responsible for the development and oversight of all sales activities in accordance with the hotel marketing plan in order to achieve maximum profitability including securing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, supervising activities of sales personnel, and executing sales and marketing strategies to maximize the profitability of the hotel while maintaining customer satisfaction.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Seeking corporate business through online channels and local sales calls.
  • Ability to penetrate accounts and shift share from the competition.
  • Understanding of rate and revenue management and assists with forecasting booking patterns.
  • Maintaining a quota of 20 cold calls per week and 5 outside sales appointments.
  • Establishing new accounts and maintaining those accounts.
  • Training front desk with capturing leads via Lead Forms and response rate within an hour.
  • Fosters an effective sales team environment through training, mentoring and participating in joint sales calls with the Regional Director of Sales & Revenue and General Manager.
  • Maintains positive relationships with corporate clients to establish positive rapport within the community.
  • Promoting a positive team-work atmosphere and enhances cooperation between all departments in the hotel.
  • Maintains organized files of past and future groups to use for future leads.
  • Attends trade shows, conventions, and other networking events to represent the hotel management company accordingly.

Qualifications:


  • Prior hospitality in sales environment and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Excellent work ethic - must be a team player.
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Outgoing and upbeat personality and can spark up a conversation with anyone naturally.
  • 2 years of sales experience minimum

  • Knowledge of RFP's through IHG RFP, Lanyon, Meeting Broker and Hotel Planner.
