Position Overview The Distribution Channel Manager owns the growth and performance of Fischer’s distribution channel. This role leads the commercial management of our product portfolio across distributor and redistributor partners—translating market insights into clear actions that drive revenue, mix optimization, and share gain.

Serving as the primary point of contact for distribution partners, this role builds strong, productive relationships while identifying opportunities to expand product penetration, improve pricing effectiveness, and capture new business. The Distribution Channel Manager ensures Fischer is positioned as the preferred partner by aligning customer needs with our capabilities, delivering consistent value, and executing against defined growth targets In addition, this role provides leadership within the sales organization by setting direction for the distribution channel, coaching internal partners, and driving accountability to results.

As the sole Distribution Channel Manager for the company, the territory is nationwide and approximately 50% travel is expected.

Key Responsibilities

Market Development & Growth Activities

  • Generate new opportunities in-market through distributor engagement, trade shows, and end-user interaction.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure alignment across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Care to support channel growth.

People Leadership & Culture

  • Lead, coach, and develop distribution-focused sales resources by setting clear expectations, reinforcing priorities, and providing ongoing feedback.
  • Translate channel strategy into clear direction for internal stakeholders, ensuring focus, alignment, and accountability.
  • Mentor team members on channel management, customer engagement, and value-based selling within distribution.
  • Support performance management through goal setting, progress reviews, and development planning aligned to business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement across sales and cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as a role model for Fischer values, demonstrating professionalism, collaboration, responsiveness, personal and mindful leadership.
  • Travel as required, approximately 50%, across the US.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with distribution and/or broker management in the foodservice industry
  • Experience in packaging is a plus
  • Proven success leading, mentoring, or influencing cross-functional or sales teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with customers via phone, video call, email, and in-person
  • Proficiency with Zoom or other virtual meeting platform, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platform
  • Self-motivated with positive and persistent attitude
  • Strong problem solving skills while working both independently and as a team player within a complex sales network
