Job description

The Opportunity

We're hiring a 100% outbound Sales Development Representative (SDR) as our first sales hire. Your job is singular and clear:

Book qualified meetings with facility decision-makers. Our CEO closes the deals.

You'll be the tip of the spear — the person who opens doors at Houston-area SNFs, ALFs, hospitals, and behavioral health facilities. You won't be selling into a void. You'll introduce a credentialed, compliance-first, veteran- and woman-owned staffing partner to facilities that are chronically understaffed and seeking a reliable local alternative to expensive travel agencies.

What You'll Do

  • Run high-volume, high-quality outbound outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn) to healthcare facilities across Greater Houston
  • Identify and qualify decision-makers — Administrators, Directors of Nursing (DONs), staffing coordinators, and procurement leaders
  • Book qualified meetings that meet our defined criteria
  • Maintain a clean, current pipeline in our CRM
  • Brief the CEO ahead of each meeting so she can walk in prepared to close
  • Represent the Hearthstone brand with professionalism, warmth, and integrity

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 1 year of BDR/SDR experience specifically in healthcare staffing — placing clinicians (RN, LVN, CNA, allied health) into facilities. This is a hard requirement. We verify it.
  • Texas resident, within Greater Houston / Katy area strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to book meetings with facility decision-makers (DONs, administrators, staffing/procurement)
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and modern CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, or similar)
  • Self-directed, resilient, and comfortable operating as an independent contractor who controls your own schedule, tools, and methods
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Nice-to-haves:

  • Existing relationships with Houston-area SNF, ALF, hospital, or behavioral health administrators/DONs
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Prior early-stage or startup experience
  • Familiarity with OIG/SAM exclusion screening and staffing compliance basics

Compensation

This is a 100% commission-based 1099 independent contractor role with a monthly communications stipend. You control your own hours, tools, and methods, and you may work with other non-competing companies.

Component Amount

Qualified Meeting Fee $50 per qualified meeting held

Signed Facility Bonus $800 per new facility that signs and places its first order

Recurring Override 2% of collected gross billings on facilities you originate, for 12 months

Communications Stipend $300/month flat, toward your phone/data/tools

Realistic earnings:

  • Ramp (months 1–2): ~$700–$2,000/month while pipeline builds
  • Established (months 3–6): ~$3,500–$6,500/month
  • Top performer (month 6+): $9,000+/month as your book of originated accounts matures

No cap. No draw against future earnings. What you earn is yours to keep.
