The Position: Director of Clinical Informatics

Employment status: Full-time

Hours per two-week pay period: 75-80 hours

Compensation: $36.00 Per hour starting wage, aligned with internal pay structure and experience

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide strategic leadership for Clinical Informatics by developing, implementing, and optimizing clinical information systems that improve patient safety, quality outcomes, operations efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead Electronic Health Record (EHR) optimization, including workflow analysis, clinical documentation, order sets, clinical decision support, reporting tools, and system enhancement in collaboration with clinical and information technology teams.
  • Lead multidisciplinary projects involving system implementation, upgrades, optimization initiatives, and technology adoption.
  • Monitor clinical workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement through automation, standardization, and technology.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of progressive responsible healthcare experience
  • Minimum 3 years working with electronic health records (preferably Epic)
  • Experience leading projects, workflow redesign, and change management

Education

  • Bachelors degree in nursing, health information management, or another clinical healthcare field.

Certifications and Licenses

  • Current unrestricted Montana professional license
  • Epic Certification(s) in assigned applications (or ability to obtain after hire)
