Full Time | Pay Rate: $25.69 Hourly | Shift Details: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday - Friday

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Grounds Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and daily coordination of grounds maintenance operations for assigned Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma properties. This role oversees grounds crew(s) while serving as a working supervisor, performing the full scope of grounds maintenance duties. The Supervisor ensures assigned properties are maintained to established standards for appearance, safety, and operational efficiency. You will report to a Grounds Manager.
Primary Tasks:
  1. Supervise and support grounds maintenance crews, including Grounds Leads and Groundskeepers, to ensure work is completed efficiently, meets quality standards, and promotes pride in workmanship.
  2. Provide direct oversight and guidance to Grounds staff, ensuring alignment of daily priorities, work assignments, and performance expectations.
  3. Perform hands-on grounds maintenance duties alongside the crew, including operating lawn care equipment and completing routine and advanced landscaping tasks.
  4. Ensure team members are properly trained and demonstrate proficiency in assigned tasks, equipment operation, and maintenance procedures.
  5. Coordinate daily work activities, staffing, and resource allocation to meet operational needs.
  6. Perform inventory control, including monitoring, maintaining, and ordering grounds equipment, materials, and supplies.
  7. Support hiring and training staff; monitor and manage performance, including completing performance evaluations and addressing performance concerns in a timely manner.
  8. Promote and enforce adherence to safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
  9. Recommend improvements to enhance grounds maintenance programs, processes, and overall property appearance.
  10. Coordinate and deliver equipment, materials, and supplies to assigned locations as needed.
  11. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Read and follow written or oral directions for tasks
  • Understand government public health regulations, as needed
  • Understand and follow safety standards related to performance of the job
  • Experience in lawn equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Three [3] years of commercial groundskeeping or landscape experience and one [1] year of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
