Deer Valley Resort is nestled in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah, in the historic mining town of Park City which has evolved into an exciting and diverse mountain ski town. Our staff consists of locals, transplants, seasonal workers from all 50 states and international students from around the globe. PURPOSE / DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: The Ski School Supervisor is responsible for supervising ski instructors and coordinating the daily organization of the Ski School adult group, teen classes, and private lessons.
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise the daily organization of Ski School lessons and programs

  • Handle guest concerns and situations as needed

  • Assist other supervisors and instructors on snow when needed

  • Assist and coach/mentor ski instructors

  • Coordinate and assist with assigned special tasks, which may include Specialty or Corporate Group lesson organization

  • Complete mid-season and end-of-season performance reviews

  • Duties may change or expand based on business needs

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum PSIA Level 1 certification

  • Strong communication skills essential

  • Experience supervising employees, coaching performances, solving problems and handling guest relations.

  • Experience supervising adult ski programs preferred

  • Must be a team-oriented player and able to work under the pressure of a high-volume environment

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds

DATES OF EMPLOYMENT:
  • Mid-November to Mid-April
