What is a grounds supervisor?

Grounds Supervisors are professionals responsible for overseeing the maintenance, landscaping, and general upkeep of outdoor spaces such as parks, campuses, or commercial properties. They manage a team of groundskeepers or landscapers, delegate tasks, and ensure the grounds are safe, clean, and visually appealing. Their duties may include scheduling maintenance, inspecting work quality, managing budgets, and coordinating with other departments or contractors. Grounds Supervisors also ensure that all landscaping activities comply with safety and environmental regulations.
