Job Title: Coordinator, Graphic Design & Video Department: Business Operations - Chicago Steel Reports to: Manager, Marketing & Brand Location: This position is 100% in-person and is based at the United Center in Chicago, IL. Hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm / Monday - Friday *This position will require non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, holidays) based on the event schedule. This includes all home games at Blackhawks Ice Center plus special events and select community experiences. Status: Full-Time, Exempt Compensation: This role is budgeted to receive an annual salary of $45,000 - 50,000. The Ideal Candidate: The successful candidate will be an excellent graphic designer with solid video and editing skills and a willingness to learn and grow, and a person that takes great pride in his or her work, regardless of the task, to help achieve individual and team goals. This position is 100% in-person and is based at the United Center in Chicago, IL. The Top Shelf: The ideal candidate not only will have outstanding graphic design/video skills necessary to bring the Steel brand to life through the design and creation of all print and online promotional, sales and advertising collateral, but will also possess a passion for the sport of hockey. How You'll Contribute:
  • Create and execute marketing materials including fliers, brochures, signage, print and digital advertisements, social media, scoreboard and website images. Designs will be used in the areas of ticket sales, corporate sponsorship sales, marketing, public relations, recruiting and more.
  • Production of select team videos for use on various Steel platforms including promotional videos, game highlights and compilation of footage for media relations and marketing purposes. This will primarily involve editing using the Adobe suite and will also involve producing/filming segments.
  • Work closely with video production partners to originate, advance and launch various campaigns and projects
  • Includes project management, file production, and coordination with internal and external vendors and suppliers
  • Assist with the overall development and evolution of the team's brand to tell the story of the Chicago Steel by building strong, consistent brand awareness to help identify and distinguish the Steel's product both on and off the ice
  • Design and build marketing/promotional assets for team's home venue, Blackhawks Ice Center including venue programs and events
  • Home game nights are required with duties to be assigned
Player Stats and Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years' experience in graphic arts and design or related field
  • Bachelor's Degree (recommended) in graphic design or closely related discipline
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including, but not limited to Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator and strong knowledge of Premiere Pro and AfterEffects.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment while juggling many tasks at once. Excellent time management is required in order to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent proofreading abilities
  • Creative thinker who can work both independently and as part of a team and is receptive to feedback
  • Passion for the game of hockey
  • Ability to work traditional and non-traditional hours. This will include some nights, weekends and holidays. This includes all home games plus special events and select community appearances.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
