Job description

Job Summary: The Clinic Nurse Supervisor is responsible to the Clinic Manager. The Clinic Nurse Supervisor plans, develops and organizes various nursing service functions within the clinic. The Clinic Nurse Supervisor acts as a role model, resource, and coach to all nursing staff to provide ongoing support for professional development, maintenance of the standards of care and quality outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current Oregon RN license without restriction.
  2. Prefer prior supervisory experience in a clinic setting.
  3. Coordination and management of interdepartmental and nursing communications.
  4. Possess skills in identifying problems, planning and implementing solutions.
  5. Computer experience required.
  6. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR) card.
  7. Skills in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with nursing staff and clinic staff.
  8. Two years' experience in a clinic setting.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Ability to communicate therapeutically.
  3. Demonstrated ability to apply the nursing process to patient care in a clinic setting.
  4. Demonstrated expertise in clinical nursing.
  5. Ability to multi-task, have good organizational, time management, and delegation skills.
  6. Manages clinics duties for the clinic (s)
  7. Skills in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with all staff.
  8. Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and JCAHO regulations related to patient care services.
  9. Possess the ability to provide care for the patients' age-specific cultural, physical and psychosocial well-being.
  10. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, patients, family members, visitors, physicians and general public.
  11. Able to establish priorities and coordinate work activities of self and clinic nursing staff.
  12. Must demonstrate strong personal integrity.
  13. Must be able to move heavy objects and may be required to assist or move patients of all weight sizes in a safe manner.
  14. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
