Job description

School District #6 is located in the famous Rogue River Valley of Southern Oregon, nestled between the Cascade and Siskiyou Mountain ranges.  The area abounds with opportunities - natural, theatrical, musical, educational and athletic. The entire school district is being restructured with an eye toward further improving our already excellent program. 
POSITION: Head Football Coach
BUILDING: Scenic Middle School
PAY RATE: $3585.82 - Annual Extra Duty Stipend (Salary listed is 25/26 pay rate. 26/27 rate is TBD)




Position Overview:
Scenic Middle School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Head Football Coach to lead and develop student-athletes as part of the district's comprehensive grade 7-12 football program. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the game, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering the physical, mental, and character development of student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and coaching for both middle school grades (7-8)
  • Plan and execute practice sessions, drills, and games in alignment with the district's athletic program.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among players.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages student-athletes to perform at their highest level both on and off the field.
  • Attend all practices, games, and team events as required.
  • Assist in gear checkouts and inventory.
  • Attend as many coaching clinics as possible.
