- Flexible weekly 24 hours. Must be available 8am-4pm Fridays in person.
- With remote access is available, light travel is required – No weekends.
- Attend in person orientation in June, evening.
- Must have valid drivers, reliable transportation to visit worksites and transport students if absolutely necessary.
The Career Coach will serve as a mentor, guide, and support system for students ages 14–18 participating in a 4-week summer internship program. This role includes helping students navigate daily activities, encouraging engagement and professionalism, assisting with career exploration, and creating a safe, supportive, and energetic learning environment.
Support & Mentorship
- Build positive relationships with interns by providing encouragement, guidance, and mentorship
- Support students in developing professionalism, confidence, communication, and workplace readiness skills
- Participation, behavior, and engagement while helping create a safe and supportive environment
Program Coordination & Engagement
- Assist with daily program operations, attendance tracking, scheduling, and activity transitions
- Help facilitate workshops, career exploration activities, worksite visits, and hands-on learning experiences
- Maintain consistent communication with students, families, staff, and program partners regarding expectations and updates
Career Readiness & Workforce Development
- Coach students on workplace etiquette, teamwork, time management, and leadership skills
- Support interns in setting personal and professional goals throughout the program experience:
- Resume creation, Interviewing, and HS Navigation & Post graduation Plans
- Encourage exposure to skilled trades careers by helping students engage with industry professionals and opportunities: Participating in Future Fridays.
