Job Description
The Cybersecurity Engineer serves as a hands-on Tier-2 subject matter expert, responsible for evaluating, integrating, and deploying advanced information security technologies and policies across the Seminole Tribe of Florida's enterprise systems and infrastructure. This role contributes to the development and implementation of security policies, conducts internal and external audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and proactively mitigates risks to protect sensitive information. The incumbent plans and maintain all aspects of data security, including vulnerability management, log collection and analysis, access and rights management, patch and update compliance, malware protection, intrusion prevention, continuous monitoring, and external program compliance. As a key contributor to the organization's cybersecurity posture, the Cybersecurity Engineer strengthens defenses, ensures regulatory adherence, and supports the safeguarding of critical assets. Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent related experience in field is preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in an enterprise support environment with information security responsibility is required. Additional certifications, such as, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Microsoft, Cisco or industry security certifications are preferred. Knowledge of CJIS, COPPA, FERPA, HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI-DSS regulatory compliance standards is required. Possession of a valid FL Driver's License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate Excellent English written and oral communication skills. Candidates must be willing to travel to all STOF Reservations, maintain communication with the Information Security Manager and work a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
