Job Description:

Comprised of the Company's international business units and various direct-to-consumer streaming services, Platform Distribution aligns technology, media distribution and advertising sales into a single business segment to create and deliver personalized entertainment experiences to consumers around the world.

This person will support team members focused on Rights Management for our Disney Streaming Services partners, including Disney Streaming Services domestically and globally.This individual will confirm distribution and music rights for Disney Streaming Services.

Responsibilities:

Provide Rights Clearance:

  • Key member of the Rights Management Steaming Services team, which is responsible for all owned, produced, acquired or licensed titles by the Walt Disney Company for inclusion on Disney Streaming Services
  • Some contract interpretation on acquisition agreements and communication with local legal teams
  • Compile high volumes of material data sets in Excel and Airtable
  • Map, migrate and validate distribution and music rights in Rightsline and Belle
  • Organize and aggregate data and agreements from Disney systems to confirm accuracy and completeness
  • Liaise with teams to provide clearance for current, bonus and library titles for use on Disney Streaming Services

Project Management of Disney Streaming Services:

  • Point of Contact for internal and external relationships between the Rights Management team and Disney Streaming Services
  • Collaborate with internal teams as needed (Content Sales, Technical Servicing, Finance/Accounting, Production, Business Affairs, Legal, Sales, Deal Management, etc.)
  • Support various projects that are required by the department to maintain data constancy/integrity

Required:

  • 1+ years of related work experience
  • Comfortable working with Airtable, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Understanding of underlying distribution and music rights
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, tasks, and queries at any given time across multiple functional disciplines
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and display professionalism and confidence in challenging situations
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and techniques
  • Experience utilizing problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

#DISNEYPLATFORMDISTRIBUTION

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $70,240 to $96,580 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
