Nightwing is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Support Engineer, who will play a critical role in supporting high-visibility, mission-critical systems that directly enable organizational success. This is a hands-on, senior-level position for a technical expert who thrives on solving complex problems, leading by example, and ensuring operational excellence.
** Candidates must have an active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance **
Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a primary escalation point for Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, resolving complex incidents across IT systems, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and problem resolution, including root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions.
  • Independently manage and execute all functional responsibilities for assigned systems or programs, often supporting mission-critical operations.
  • Lead or oversee the work of junior team members, offering guidance, mentorship, and technical direction as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives, helping enhance system reliability, performance, and user experience.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and system diagrams to improve support efficiency.
  • Support user training and knowledge transfer, promoting effective system use and reducing recurring issues.
Minimum Requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant technical support experience, or an approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current TS/SCI CI Poly clearance
  • IAT Level II certification compliance (required).
  • Proven ability to work independently in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting complex, enterprise-level IT systems and infrastructure.

The salary associated with this position ($122,000-$253,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
