POSITION: Maintenance Mechanic

LOCATION: Headquarters

GRADE: 13 FB

SALARY RANGE: $44,874 - $76,346 - Full-time – 37.5 hrs./weekly


Overall Position Purpose: This is skilled and semi-skilled work in the repair and maintenance of buildings and mechanical equipment. Work involves responsibility for the performance of a variety of miscellaneous mechanical and building trade tasks in general maintenance work. Work may involve serving as an Automotive Equipment Operator in making deliveries of library materials throughout the County. Keeps Maintenance Mechanic II and Maintenance Supervisor informed of work progress, problems, and successes.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school/equivalency program or vocational school, some experience in performing skilled maintenance and repair tasks; or an equivalent combination of experience and training that has provided the knowledge, abilities, and skills listed below.


Necessary Special Requirement: Possession of a valid non-commercial Class C motor vehicle operator's license issued by the State of Maryland with a good driving record.
