Dohrn is currently seeking a Full Time Help Desk Analyst at our corporate office in Rock Island, IL.

Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay is $22/Hour & up, based on experience

Purpose:

To provide 1st level help desk support to end users. The primary function is to document and troubleshoot hardware and software support issues via phone and email and then escalate when necessary.


• Provide Tier 1 Help Desk technical support via phone, email, or ticketing system
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and basic network issues
• Provide technical support to remote users connecting through Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
• Document, track, and monitor support issues to ensure a timely resolution or for escalation to next support tier
• Troubleshoot hardware and network issues
• Maintain user accounts and access in Microsoft Active Directory
• Assist customers with Dohrn Transfer's website
• Support drivers in the field on Samsara & Acordex applications running on Android tablets
• Perform other duties as needed


• High School completion or equivalent
• Valid Driver License
• Strong Interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and telephone communication and etiquette
• Familiarity with network troubleshooting
• Familiarity with computer hardware
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
• Ability to use and support Microsoft Office suite of products
• Excellent attendance
• Problem solving and analytical ability is essential
• Displays a high level or effort and commitment to performing work; performs effectively within the organization structure, demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

• Weekend and night hours occasionally required.
• Primarily sedentary work. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. May be occasionally required to exert up to 50 pounds of force and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• The general office environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are minimal hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
• Visual Acuity including regular use of items including a computer screen or monitor.
• Manual dexterity is regularly required including fingering, grasping, and typing; manual dexterity includes repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Talking and hearing required to communicate with and listen to others to share or receive information. May be occasionally exposed to noise including telephone, office machinery, and conversations of others.
