YOUR OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting Sr. Service Desk Engineer opportunity in our Merriam office. The Sr. Service Desk Engineer is a pivotal member of the IT support organization, responsible for overseeing the maintenance and optimization of core Service Desk support applications and associated hardware. This role ensures the seamless operation of critical systems, supports the Service Desk Manager with essential reporting and metrics and leads cross-functional projects that require Service Desk expertise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary lead engineer for projects requiring Service Desk involvement, collaborating with other IT teams and the user community to ensure successful planning, execution, and completion of initiatives along with handing off documentation and training for ongoing support.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging end-user support technologies, industry practices, and user experience trends to recommend improvements that keep Seaboard's workplace technology current, relevant, secure, and aligned to the best interests of the user base.
  • Maintain, configure and optimize Service Desk support tools and desktop Security applications, including, but not limited to NinjaOne, Intune, Autopilot, IT Service Management (ITSM) platform and IT Asset Management (ITAM) tools.
  • Verify regular PC OS and Manufacturer patches are applied across the environment, work with Service Desk Manager to remediate as needed and report on patch percentage on a regular basis.
  • Oversee the deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting of conference room hardware and software, ensuring reliable and effective meeting experience for users and train Service Desk staff on support.
  • Ensure defined PC agents are on required endpoints, report status on a regular basis and work with Service Desk Manager to remediate as needed.
  • Act as primary contact/expert regarding Farm and small location connectivity that falls outside of the scope of the Network team.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Required:
  • 5-7 years of progressive IT support experience.
  • Demonstrated project leadership experience showing attention to detail with record of driving projects to successful, on-time completion.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate and interpret technical reports and metrics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other teams.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks, including change, asset, problem, incident and device management.
  • Solid understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem from an IT support and administration perspective, including Microsoft 365, endpoint management, identity/access, and related management tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collective team.
  • Customer focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Programming preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with NinjaOne or comparable endpoint management/RRM tools.
  • Experience administering and supporting conference room hardware/software environments.
  • Working knowledge of ITSM and ITAM platform configuration and administration.
