Role Objective
This is not a traditional paralegal role. As a Bilingual Immigration Paralegal at New Frontier, you will be a critical driver of our mission to help immigrant families LIVE FREE. You will handle complex removal defense and family-based immigration cases, partner closely with attorneys, and deliver an extraordinary client experience rooted in clarity, compassion, and excellence.

Responsibilities/Duties
Casework & Legal Support
  • Manage a substantial caseload of family-based and removal defense matters
  • Prepare and file immigration applications including I-589, I-42B, and bond requests
  • Support attorneys in removal proceedings and USCIS matters
  • Draft detailed declarations, particularly for asylum cases
  • Gather, analyze, and organize evidence for court filings
  • Assist attorneys in preparing clients for interviews and hearings
  • Track and meet all critical deadlines
  • Respond to USCIS Requests for Evidence with precision and clarity

Client Experience
  • Provide exceptional client service, ensuring clients feel informed and supported
  • Explain immigration processes and case strategies clearly and confidently

Team Collaboration & Leadership
  • Mentor and guide Legal Assistants on best practices
  • Maintain accurate and thorough case documentation using Filevine
  • Coordinate with EOIR, ICE, and USCIS to support case progression

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of high-volume immigration law experience
  • Expertise with I-589, I-42B, bond applications, and family-based petitions
  • Experience preparing clients and documentation for Individual Calendar Hearings
  • Strong understanding of asylum processes and complex removal defense
  • Demonstrated success managing complex case types
  • Fluent bilingual English-Spanish required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience supervising or mentoring support staff
  • Exceptional communication and client-service skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with legal case management systems (Filevine preferred)
  • Ability to work on-site in both our Phoenix and Glendale locations
