Supervising Immbigration Paralegal

Sanabria & Associates, PLLC is a prestigious and rapidly expanding law firm with offices in Maryland, DC, Virginia & Florida. A successful candidate will be able to assist during all phases of the immigration process and is willing to provide a high-quality level of client support. You will prepare and file several forms with different immigration agencies and work closely with the supervising attorneys. We offer on-the-job training and several other industry leading benefits.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparing and filing applications with USCIS, including but not limited to: family-based petitions (I-130), adjustment of status (1-485), provisional waivers (I-601A), naturalization (N-400), employment authorization documents (I-765), DACA/TPS (I-821D), Consular Processing (DS-260) and U Visas (I-918)
  • Submitting motions, applications, and supplemental evidence filings with EOIR in advance of Individual/Merits Hearings
  • Proactively communicating with clients to answer questions and provide status updates.
  • Supervise a team of paralegals and provide guidance
  • Conduct work performance reviews
  • Review, delegate, and prioritize work for paralegal caseloads
  • Use Case Management reporting tools to manage data and information and communicate report findings with senior management
  • Interview potential candidates for paralegal and legal assistant positions
  • Lead training for new hires and conduct periodic training sessions for staff as needed
Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bilingual (Spanish and English REQUIRED)
  • Expert knowledge with the Immigration Court and USCIS procedures
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize cases
  • Works well under pressure
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Experience using Docketwise software is a bonus
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Immigration Paralegal Experience: 4+ years
