About the Program:

Ignite Forge Fatherhood & VIBE are high-impact community programs designed to strengthen families by equipping families, with the tools to lead healthy relationships, remain actively engaged with their family members, and achieve economic stability. Through structured workshops, hands-on support, and community-based engagement, the programs foster accountability, resilience, and long-term success for participants and their families.

Position Overview:

The Program Manager serves as the operational leader of a results-driven fatherhood and youth family-support initiative. This role is ideal for a decisive, organized, and mission-driven leader who excels at supervising teams, holding staff accountable, and ensuring work gets done at a high standard.

The Manager is responsible for overseeing daily program operations, managing staff performance, and ensuring that all program components run efficiently and in alignment with contractual and organizational goals. Working closely with the Program Director, this role requires a strong presence, clear leadership, and the ability to drive outcomes in a community-facing environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable leading from the front, setting expectations, and ensuring follow-through across the team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Program Performance & Accountability

  • Drive ย ย ย ย ย program performance by managing enrollment, attendance, retention, ย ย ย ย ย milestone completion, and outcome targets.
  • Track ย ย ย ย ย metrics consistently and implement corrective action plans when ย ย ย ย ย performance benchmarks are not met.
  • Ensure ย ย ย ย ย all deliverables align with contractual obligations and organizational ย ย ย ย ย standards.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Directly ย ย ย ย ย supervise Advocates, Workforce & Finance Lead, and Kids Club staff, ย ย ย ย ย ensuring responsibilities are clearly defined and executed.
  • Set ย ย ย ย ย expectations, manage workloads, and ensure staff are completing assigned ย ย ย ย ย tasks accurately and on time.
  • Conduct ย ย ย ย ย regular one-on-one supervision, coaching, and annual performance ย ย ย ย ย evaluations.
  • Foster ย ย ย ย ย a culture of accountability, teamwork, and mission alignment.

Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain ย ย ย ย ย full compliance with HMRF program requirements, Institutional Review Board ย ย ย ย ย (IRB) standards, and agency policies.
  • Oversee ย ย ย ย ย operational logistics for workshops, kids club activities, and program ย ย ย ย ย events, ensuring spaces are prepared and materials are ready.
  • Ensure ย ย ย ย ย smooth day-to-day operations with minimal disruption.

Community Presence & Program Growth

  • Spend ย ย ย ย ย at least 20% of time engaged in outreach, recruitment, and ย ย ย ย ย relationship-building with community partners.
  • Support ย ย ย ย ย referral pipelines and monitor outreach effectiveness.
  • Oversee ย ย ย ย ย on-site Food Pantry operations, inventory control, and monthly reporting ย ย ย ย ย to leadership.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's ย ย ย ย ย degree in human services, behavioral health, education, or a related field ย ย ย ย ย (required).
  • Minimum ย ย ย ย ย of three (3) years of experience managing or overseeing programs within a ย ย ย ย ย nonprofit or human services environment.
  • Proven ย ย ย ย ย experience supervising staff and ensuring performance standards are met.
  • Demonstrated ย ย ย ย ย success working with measurable goals, outcomes, and performance metrics.
  • Experience ย ย ย ย ย with community outreach, engagement, or recruitment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA's):

Training Requirements:

  • Completion ย ย ย ย ย of all agency-wide and program-specific training.
  • Completion ย ย ย ย ย of all required HMRF and IRB trainings to maintain compliance.

Physical & Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to perform desk-based work with extended ย ย ย ย ย computer use.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel ย ย ย ย ย locally for programming and community activities.
