We are currently seeking a Food amp; Beverage Analyst at our Lovers Lane community.
F amp;B ANALYST
JOB DESCRIPTION
EXPECTATIONS OF THE ROLE
F amp;B Analysts provide financial insights that help in the decision-making process regarding F amp;B operations. Analysts conduct performance analyses of the F amp;B operation, analyzing menus, recipes, product categories, inventories, and the overall profitability of the F amp;B business unit. They will develop and monitor data quality metrics to ensure all data and reporting needs are met.
KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with F amp;B leadership to consult, develop and implement KPIs, automated reporting and dashboards, and process improvements to meet business needs.
  • Analyze trends, patterns and irregularities in key metrics in order to drive business decisions.
  • Assist F amp;B leadership in the execution of the business unit’s strategic priorities.
  • Support chefs in the proper creation, costing, pricing, and documentation of recipes.
  • Manage F amp;B software systems in order to maintain data integrity.
  • Manage the monthly inventory process to ensure the process is efficient, counts are accurate, and reporting is timely.
  • Analyze cost of goods sold (COGS) and produce monthly F amp;B P amp;L statements.
  • Assist in analyzing vendor purchasing data to identify variances and opportunities for economies of scale.
  • Assist in the forecasting and annual budget processes.
  • Assist is analyzing product mix and inventory variance reports.
  • Assist FOH operations by serving as back-up managers when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior experience in a business analysis, strategy development, and/or comparable educational background.
  • Prior experience in F amp;B operations.
  • Proven relationship and communication skills to effectively build partnerships and influence others.
  • Solutions-oriented mindset and commitment to achieving team objectives.
  • Creative problem solving skills with proven strategic thinking.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing data, identifying KPIs and reporting on results using Excel or other analytical software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience with restaurant POS systems.
  • Prior experience with ChefTec, XtraChef, or other F amp;B BOH systems.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, or Culinary Arts
