Job description

We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic Flight Coordinator to join our growing New York Team!

We have a passion for hospitality culinary delights on every banquet floor and in the sky. With the three business segments of Airline Catering, International Event Catering, and Restaurants, Lounges & Hotels, we offer gourmet entertainment all over the world. We operate in 32 locations, 12 countries and 3 Continents, maintaining the highest standard of quality in both our products and services. We refine the classics, develop the unknown and grow constantly – sometimes beyond our own expectations. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain professional communication with different channels and distribute all incoming operational information to the relevant departments. 
  • Ensure production processes, quality standards, deadlines, and accuracy are met to hand over DO & CO’s high-end products to the aircraft crew in person without delays. 
  • Ensure products and trolleys always meet the utmost quality standards and the delivery is done according to the customer’s instructions. 
  • Conduct physical counts and pack additional equipment or products. 
  • Identify procedures that can be improved and put forward suggestions for more efficiency and customer care. 
  • Confirm special meals and the correct number of meals for each flight are ready, packed, and assigned correctly. 
  • Work alongside a team of Food Packers with a Hands-on approach and assist in assembly line when necessary, setting up trays, preparing and packaging food inside a cooler/refrigerated area. 
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management, upholding DO & CO standards.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • A minimum of 2 years of related work experience, preferably in customer service, is beneficial.
  • Ability to meet requirements necessary to obtain a PANYNJ ID (Port Authority NY/NJ per TSA regulations and, more specifically, 49 CFR §1542.209).
  • Computer literate.
  • Excellent planning and coordination skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Hands-on approach.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 50% of the workday inside a cooler/refrigerated area.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and with a diversified clientele.
  • Capacity to work well within a team and show leadership skills.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Must have flexible schedule availability.
