When you join our nursing team as a Assistant Nurse Manager Fligths - Neonate, you will help advance modern nursing by providing your skills, experience, and commitment to compassionate care. As an Assistant Nurse Manager Flights - Neonate, you will be responsible for developing, achieving, and maintaining the goals of a Flight for Life NICU program by focusing on the unit or department's daily operations. You will need to consistently promote a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers. You will collaboratively work with nurse leaders in maintaining productivity, supporting hospital initiatives, and ensuring FFL are appropriately staffed. You will assist in identifying staff development needs with an emphasis on evidence- based practice and education.

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified flight nurse candidates will need the following:

Experience Requirements

  • Three (3) years in Level III/IV NICU experience, required
  • Two (2) years previous flight nursing, required
  • Five (5) years combined NICU years, preferred
  • Six (6) months clinical leadership, preferred

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree Nursing Required BSN or MSN, required.
  • Masters Degree Nursing, preferred

License/Certification Requirements

  • Registered Nurse State of Employment Required RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable.
  • Basic Cardiac Life American Heart, required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation, required upon hire
  • Certified Neonatal and Pediatric Transport (C-NPT) upon hire or within two (2) years
  • Valid Driver License, required
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass the annual review of driving record for safe vehicle operations
  • Must maintain current on all certifications required by Commission for Accreditation of Medical Transport System, required
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. certificate, preferred, instructor within two (2) years of hire/transfer

Physical Requirements

  • Heavy Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
