We’re seeking a detail-driven Fire Sprinkler Designer / CAD Drafter to support our growing Fire Protection division. In this role, you’ll design code-compliant fire sprinkler systems, prepare accurate project drawings, and collaborate closely with project managers to ensure every system meets NFPA standards and customer expectations. This position is ideal for a technically skilled designer who takes pride in precision and wants long-term growth in a stable, safety-driven company.


What You’ll Do

As a Fire Sprinkler Designer / CAD Drafter, you’ll play a critical role in protecting people and property by creating accurate, compliant, and efficient system designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare project drawings, specifications, and schematics using AutoCAD and related CAD platforms.

  • Design layouts, perform field checks, create fabrication listings, material and equipment submittals, and calculations.

  • Ensure all designs comply with NFPA standards and applicable Federal, State, and local codes.

  • Support Fire Protection and Low Voltage projects across multiple job types.

  • Coordinate with project managers to maintain scope, timelines, and compliance requirements.

  • Produce close-out documentation and as-built drawings.

  • Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers.

  • Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and communication.

  • Maintain accuracy, organization, and efficiency across multiple active projects.

  • Perform all work in alignment with State Systems’ mission of protecting life and property.


What We’re Looking For
  • 1–2 years of Fire Sprinkler / Life Safety design experience (HydraCAD or SprinkCAD a plus).

  • 2+ years of experience using Windows-based AutoCAD design software.

  • Strong understanding of commonly used design concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work seated at a desk for a standard eight-hour workday.

  • Professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset.


Compensation & Schedule
  • Compensation: Based on education, experience, and credentials

  • Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday | 8-hour shifts

  • Payment Frequency: Biweekly

  • Supplemental Pay: Referral Bonus
