About the Opportunity
The Fire Sprinkler Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising installation crews on commercial, industrial, and residential projects. This role ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract documents, NFPA standards, and local codes. The Foreman will coordinate labor, materials, and scheduling while maintaining quality workmanship and productivity.
Job Duties
  • Supervise, train, and lead fire sprinkler fitters and apprentices on job sites
  • Plan, layout, and oversee installation of fire sprinkler systems per drawings and specifications
  • Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and hydraulic calculations
  • Coordinate daily work activities, manpower, and material needs
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local fire codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies
  • Conduct job site safety meetings and enforce safe work practices
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and code compliance
  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades
  • Track labor hours, productivity, and report progress to management
  • Identify and resolve field issues, including design conflicts and material shortages
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and job site cleanliness
  • Assist with system testing, flushing, and final inspections as required

Requirements
  • 5+ years of fire sprinkler installation experience
  • Previous supervisory or foreman experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, 13R, and 13D standards
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Solid understanding of sprinkler materials, installation methods, and tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Valid driver's license

Compensation
  • $30.00 - $45.00/hour, based on experience
