A well-established fire protection and life safety company serving Virginia and Eastern North Carolina is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Foreman to join its growing team.

The company provides comprehensive fire protection solutions including fire sprinkler systems, fire alarms, special hazards suppression systems, fire pumps, inspections, testing, monitoring, and repair services.

The Fire Sprinkler Foreman will be responsible for leading installation crews, coordinating field activities, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise, train, and lead fire sprinkler fitters and apprentices on job sites
  • Plan, layout, and oversee fire sprinkler system installations according to project specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and hydraulic calculations
  • Coordinate daily work activities, manpower, and material requirements
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local fire codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies
  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades
  • Identify and resolve field issues, material shortages, and installation challenges
  • Assist with system testing, flushing, and final inspections as needed
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of fire sprinkler installation experience
  • Previous Foreman, Lead Fitter, or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Knowledge of sprinkler installation methods, materials, and tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
