The Role: Fire Sprinkler System Technician

As a Fire Sprinkler System Technician, you are on the front line of life safety. Your work ensures that when an emergency happens, the system performs exactly as designed.

You will inspect, maintain, repair, and install fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings ensuring compliance, reliability, and protection for the communities we serve.

This is a role for someone who values craftsmanship, precision, and responsibility.


What Success Looks Like

  • Install fire sprinkler systems in compliance with applicable codes and safety standards.
  • Perform inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Diagnose and repair system components including valves, piping, and sprinkler heads.
  • Maintain detailed, organized service documentation.
  • Stay current with industry standards, technologies, and regulatory changes.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow technicians and project teams to solve complex challenges.
  • Represent FSS Technologies with professionalism and integrity on every job site.


What You Bring

  • Working knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Professional communication skills and customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fire sprinkler installation/maintenance certification preferred.
  • Prior experience as a sprinkler system technician.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks required in commercial and industrial environments.

Work Schedule & Benefits

  • Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
  • Based onsite at our Ypsilanti, MI office, with fieldwork at project locations.
