Fire Sprinkler Fitter
Professional Fire Protection – Johnstown, NY

Professional Fire Protection is seeking a motivated and dependable Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our growing team in Johnstown, NY. We are looking for individuals with experience in commercial and residential fire sprinkler system installation, service, and repair who take pride in quality workmanship and safety. Company is based out of Johnstown, but most work is in the capital region. Employee would be responsible to be at job site for 7am and work until 3:30pm Monday through Friday. 

Responsibilities

  • Install, modify, and repair fire sprinkler systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
  • Assemble and install piping, hangers, valves, and sprinkler heads
  • Perform inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of systems
  • Maintain compliance with NFPA standards and company safety procedures
  • Work effectively with team members, contractors, and customers
  • On call rotation every 5th week

Qualifications

  • Experience in fire sprinkler fitting
  • Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Valid clean driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights when necessary
  • OSHA certifications are a plus
  • NICET certifications are a plus
