Position Overview:
Silco is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Estimator / Sales Representative to join our team. This role involves estimating costs and preparing bids for sprinkler system installations and maintenance, as well as driving sales by engaging with potential customers, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sprinkler systems, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for sprinkler system installations and maintenance, including materials, labor, and other expenses.
  • Develop and present proposals and bids to potential customers in a clear and professional manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and vendors to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Collaborate with the design and installation teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, product developments, and competitive landscape to provide informed recommendations to customers.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by identifying new business opportunities and leveraging existing relationships.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, sales activities, and customer interactions using CRM software.
  • Participate in trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to promote the company and generate leads.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a sprinkler estimator, sales representative, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of sprinkler systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a related field is a plus.
