Job description

We are seeking an experienced Mid-Level Sprinkler Designer. This role is responsible for overseeing complex sprinkler system designs, supporting cross-functional teams, mentoring junior designers, and ensuring projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.


Key Responsibilities

• Review, coordinate, and oversee fire sprinkler design projects to ensure successful and timely completion.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers, supporting professional development and knowledge sharing.
• Assist in developing and delivering training programs for new and existing design team members.
• Support the design team by contributing to complex designs, troubleshooting challenges, and ensuring quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to resolve coordination issues and maintain alignment with project schedules and objectives.
• Work closely with the Estimating team by providing design input and technical support for proposal and quotation development.
• Ensure sprinkler system designs comply with applicable codes, standards, client requirements, and project specifications.
• Participate in coordination meetings with clients, contractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders as needed.
Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire sprinkler system design.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, project workflows, permitting processes, scheduling, and coordination with other trades.
• Proficiency in AutoSprink.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of NFPA and FM Global standards and requirements.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.


Preferred Qualifications

• NICET Certification
• Experience with BIM coordination projects
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and Procore
• Previous experience mentoring or leading design team members
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork mindset and commitment to continuous improvement


Work Environment and Location

  • Location: Remote
  • Work shift: 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM (Arizona timezone)
