Job description

About the Role:
Diamondback Fire Protection LLC is looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our growing team. If you have 3+ years of experience in fire protection design and hold a NICET Level 2 or higher certification (preferred), we want to hear from you. This is a primarily remote role with occasional travel requirements to meet project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design fire sprinkler systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects using AutoSPRINK or similar design software
  • Perform hydraulic calculations in accordance with NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D standards
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate and timely drawing submittals
  • Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and design documentation for AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) approval
  • Ensure all designs comply with local codes, NFPA standards, and client specifications
  • Revise and update drawings based on field conditions, change orders, or inspector feedback
  • Provide technical support during the installation process
Qualifications:
  • Proficient with design software (e.g. AutoSprink, AutoCAD, and Revit)
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards and local building codes
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Minimum NICET Level 2 certification (preferred)
