Position Summary

We're looking for an experienced Senior Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our King of Prussia, PA Design team. This role is ideal for a skilled designer with 5–10 years of fire sprinkler design experience who can lead complex design work, complete accurate hydraulic calculations, coordinate with internal teams and outside stakeholders, and help deliver high-quality life safety solutions for our customers.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Design fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and specialty projects using industry design software and applicable code requirements.
  • Prepare accurate layouts, hydraulic calculations, stock lists, permit drawings, submittals, and as-built documentation.
  • Review project scope, drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify design requirements and potential discrepancies.
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, estimators, field teams, general contractors, engineers, architects, and AHJs throughout the design and approval process.
  • Support permitting and approval processes by preparing complete and accurate documentation for submission.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other designers as needed.


What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 5–10 years of fire sprinkler design experience.
  • NICET certification required.
  • Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems, hydraulic calculations, and applicable code requirements.
  • Experience preparing sprinkler design drawings, submittals, calculations, and related project documentation.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with project managers, field teams, customers, contractors, and AHJs.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.

Preferred:

  • Experience with AutoSprink, HydraCAD, and/or Revit preferred.
  • Experience designing a variety of sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and specialty systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematic drawings.
