Job description

Position Summary:
The Financial Assistant will support the Finance Department with day-to-day operations, including payroll processing, accounts payable, and general financial administrative tasks.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with payroll processing and timecard adjustments
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries
  • Provide administrative support to the Finance team
  • Maintain accurate financial records

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
  • 2-4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (healthcare or nonprofit preferred)
  • Experience with payroll processing and accounts payable preferred


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Familiarity with grant accounting and cost allocation (preferred in FQHC setting)
  • Proficiency in accounting/payroll systems (e.g., Bamboo HR, Sage)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
