Job description

Endeavor Health Services is looking for full-time Program Assistant to join our clinic in Rochester, New York! This clinic offers mental health services, substance use services, domestic violence program, anger management program and sexual abuse prevention program.

The PROGRAM ASSISTANT functions as a member of the clinic treatment team providing assistance to the staff responsible for providing service to our forensic clinic and is under the direct supervision of the Program Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete reports to referral sources as required.
  • Complete authorization forms to send to managed care companies for clients in program.
  • Care coordination (written or telephonic) with referral sources and other entities as required.
  • Coordinate and complete drug screens for clients.
  • Assist counselors with documentation according to agency standards.
  • Assist counselors with clients in crisis.
  • Consults with staff psychiatrist who is responsible for psychiatric and medication evaluation.
  • Conducts discharge planning conferences and makes follow-up contacts as necessary.
  • Maintains cultural sensitivity and competence with respect to agency consumers and their families, as well as other employees and suppliers.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all agency policies, procedures and governmental regulations including, but not limited to HIPAA.

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree (preferred) in Human Services or related field
  • Microsoft Office experience is required
  • Experience working with Cerner or similar behavioral health software preferred
