Job description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manages the overall administration and coordination of non-academic programs, ensuring alignment with university goals and objectives
  • Develops and implements program strategies to optimize performance and ensure effective delivery of program goals, timelines, and resource allocation
  • Oversees the planning and execution of program events, coordinating logistics, communications, and resources to ensure successful outcomes
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and students, to ensure programs are executed smoothly and meet the needs of the university community
  • Evaluates program effectiveness by conducting assessments, gathering feedback, and identifying opportunities to enhance program impact and efficiency
  • Monitors program budgets, ensuring financial resources are effectively managed, expenses are tracked, and budget goals are met
  • Provides guidance and support to program teams, offering leadership on program best practices, troubleshooting challenges, and mentoring team members
  • Other duties as assigned

The Center for Urban Entrepreneurship (CUE) is a dynamic co-working space that supports low- to no-tech businesses committed to strengthening downtown Rochester's economy. Focused on advancing urban entrepreneurship, CUE serves as a central resource for programs and research that help build community wealth and create pathways for aspiring entrepreneurs to successfully launch and grow their ventures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for interdisciplinary scholarly research, inter-industry market research training and assistance to CUE clients, and development and delivery of effective, mission-related programs.
• Report to and work closely with the director.
• Responsible for researching effective and efficient program models utilized by comparable centers and relevant organizations.
• Responsible for conducting scholarly research and providing market research training and assistance to CUE clients to increase their entrepreneurial aptitude and market awareness. The program manager will work collaboratively with partner organizations that have complementary programs that can be leveraged by CUE.
• Develop innovative, new programs that fit within CUE's vision, mission and budget.
• Ensure that programs are delivered as planned and achieve intended outcomes.
• Program model research, implementation, evaluation, and reporting will be the primary responsibilities of the program manager.
• Hire, train and supervise student employees.
