Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Senior Manager of Program Management. In this Site leadership role, the individual will be responsible for overall program management and is accountable for program execution, customer satisfaction, and financial performance of the TSS - Integrated Optical Production & Services location in Rochester, New York. This position will have a direct interface with customers, suppliers, and stakeholder leadership. The role includes responsibility for guiding L3Harris employees in their work and influencing them to deliver their best and to act within the L3Harris corporate values.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage a portfolio of complex classified programs including managing several direct reports and the various programs they are managing, succession planning, performance management, and coaching and mentoring
  • Site Leadership and high-level relationship management
  • Ensure customer satisfaction, maintain customer communication, and provide overall management of the customer relationship
  • Manage the cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements of programs through all phases from inception to completion
  • Strong experience in Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Direct the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contracts
  • Ensure that all resources such as engineering, manpower, production, and facilities are available to support the program
  • Participate in defining program parameters or guiding internal research and development efforts
  • Work with customers to determine needs, requirements, and new business opportunities
  • Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas
  • Solve complex problems with significant business impact
  • Interact internally with management and customers on significant business matters
  • Develop, manage, track, and report financial forecasts
  • Participate in the overall marketing strategies and business planning in support of L3Harris initiatives and strategic corporate business pursuits
  • As required, lead and support planning for and involvement in applicable trade shows
  • Provide/reinforce the credibility and commitment of L3Harris at appropriate executive levels within the customer community
  • Organize and coordinate customer visits and participating in appropriate symposiums and trade shows
  • Understand customer procurement processes and government funding approval

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience; Or, Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
  • Must maintain eligibility requirements to access US classified information
  • Ability to gain a secret clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience managing programs within a DOD or Aerospace environment

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California,
Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $150,000 -
$278,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New
York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $130,500 - $242,500. This is not a guarantee of
compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to
experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and
disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave,
paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee
