The Expanded Learning Program Assistant is responsible for assisting the Expanded Learning Manager in developing, implementing, and overseeing the Expanded Learning Program for all participating students at 1-2 KIPP SoCal campuses and manages the team members involved.

The Expanded Learning Program Assistant reports directly to the Expanded Learning Program Manager. Program Design Support Expanded Learning Manager in executing an expanded learning program vision, mission and goals for that supports the broader goals of KIPP SoCal Public Schools Support with designing enrichment opportunities for students that fit their interest and passions and can be lead by the part-time team Develop and manage schedule of academic, recreation, and enrichment activities Program Management Assistance Supervise and ensure the safety of students at all times. Organize and support after school program events and field trips Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the school enrichment program Manage process for meals Supply ordering and gathering Lead the Expanded Learning Program when Manager is off-site or out People Management Communicate effectively with school administration, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders Assist with recruitment of part-time team members Support with observations of part-time program staff to implement quality standards-aligned programming Compliance & Reporting Maintain accurate records by completing regular audits (i.e., registration forms, attendance sheets, operational schedules, etc.) Adhere to workplace safety guidelines, make recommendations for workplace safety Follow school and KIPP SoCal procedures and policies for safe operation of Expanded Learning Program Support with annual program evaluations, including surveys of students, team members and parents Submit all required documentation on a timely basis Qualifications & Desired Characteristics Bachelor's degree preferred 2 or more years working with school-aged youth Ability to work in a team environment Ability to work independently and work under strict deadlines Ability to work with varied populations, such as administrators, teachers, parents, and students Excellent computer skills, experience working with Google platform a plus Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, changes approach or method to best fit the situation, able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
