Job description
- Oversight of daily program operations, programs implementation, management, and administration.Â
- Ensures all established policies and procedures are implemented during all programs.Â
- Gathers, reviews and analyzes data to ensure that the program is following Federal, State, and Agency standards.Â
- Represents the agency during all site visits for LACOE, CDE, ASES, Health & Safety, Food Services and other entities.Â
- Oversight of Intersession programs at site.Â
- Completes all Intersession program plans.Â
- Leads site Continuous Quality Improvement process.Â
- Attends regular meetings with School staff and Student Support team to ensure student supports are reviewed and met.Â
- Coordinate tasks with other department staff as needed.Â
- Responsible for ongoing preparation of documents, reports, and presentations; distribute as appropriate.Â
- Completes and reports on enrollment count to administration at all times.Â
- Ensures that enrollment is full at all times.
- Completes monthly reports for administration in various programmatic areas.
- Completes daily ratio counts and ensures that ratios are always met.
- Completes child abuse reports to the Child Abuse Hotline.
- Supervises the development and implementation of all program activities, provides guidance to staff members assigned to a group of students.
- Oversight of Behavior management processes for the program.
- Responsible to assign and monitor teacher classroom management, activity plans, activities and staff assignments.
- Completes observations and feedback to accelerate teacher development in support of student engagement.Â
- Conducts regular supervision meetings with all staff and provides feedback.
- Completes performance evaluations for Lead Teacher and Associate Teachers.
- Participates in the interviewing, selection, assignment, and orientation for Associate Teachers.
- Completes any paperwork associated with employee discipline.
- Responsible for reviewing and approving payroll, work orders, purchase orders, and other supporting documentation.
- Operates program within established budgetary parameters.
- Leads emergency drills and procedures practices at site.
- Build positive relationships with parents and creates a positive welcoming community environment.
- Prepares presentations for parents and conducts all parent meetings.
- Refers families to other PLN services as needed.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships with partners and collaborators.
- Monitors City Span database.
- May perform other duties as assigned.Â
- Travel Requirements: Frequent travel within Los Angeles County to Para Los Niños Charter Schools and other designated locations for meetings, training, and program support.Â
- Must have a reliable automobile for use on the job (mileage to be reimbursed). Â
- Valid California Driver License. The state required automobile insurance coverage.Â
- Brings strong creativity, initiative, and organizational skills to program planning and execution.Â
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple and diverse priorities.Â
- Must have the ability to consistently show good judgment and decision-making skills. Â
- Possess strong, creative, and organizational abilities.Â
- BA degree in Child Development, Human Services or related field.Â
- Bilingual (E/S) preferred.  Â
- Two years’ experience working with families and children in an after-school program.  Â
- Demonstrated experience managing ASES, 21st Century, and other Expanded Learning program grants.Â
- Hold current, or attain, CPR/First Aid Certification.Â
- Approximately 50% of time is spent sitting, while frequently required to walk, stand, and bendÂ
- Must be able to speak and hear well.  Â
- A good vision is imperative.  Â
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Â
- Employee will be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds without assistance.Â
- TB test clearance to be renewed every two years.Â
