Project Manager — High-Profile Client Programs

Whitinsville, MA • Full-Time, On-Site • $90K-$100K + Bonus

If you thrive under pressure, keep your cool when timelines compress, and take pride in walking into a tough meeting with a solution already in hand — we want to talk to you.

About the Company

We are an established custom exhibit and experiential marketing company with more than four decades in the industry and a track record of building some of the most complex, large-scale trade show installations in the country. Our clients include Fortune 500 brands with programs spanning millions of dollars, thousands of square feet of custom-built exhibit space, and some of the biggest shows on the trade show calendar.

We are a hands-on, production-driven team based in Whitinsville, MA. The work is real, the deadlines are firm, and the results are on display in front of thousands of people. We wouldn't have it any other way.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Project Manager to take ownership of our largest and most complex client program — a major annual engagement that includes some of the biggest custom exhibit builds we produce each year.

This is not a coordinator role. You will be the go-to for the client, the shop floor, and the account team. You will manage multiple concurrent projects, lead production launch meetings, drive timelines across design and fabrication teams, and represent our company in direct conversations with client senior leadership — including C-suite contacts.

The person stepping out of this role built it into one of the most important seats in our company. Their background wasn't in exhibits — it was in event operations. What made them exceptional was their ability to manage chaos, communicate honestly, and always show up with a plan.

What You'll Own

  • Full timeline ownership from project launch through on-site installation and post-show wrap
  • Client relationship management — weekly calls, planning meetings, and C-suite interactions
  • Cross-functional coordination across account services, design, production, and event services
  • Risk identification and proactive problem-solving — you bring options, not just status updates
  • Quality control and final sign-off before anything ships
  • Compressed timeline management: our industry standard has moved from 26-week cycles to 52-day averages — you will set the pace
  • Post-show inspection and damage report process, including final pricing delivery within 10 business days of exhibit receipt
  • Collaboration with CAD Detailers to review construction drawings for accuracy before production begins
  • Sourcing materials and working with approved vendors to identify cost efficiencies
  • Project tracking and communication using project management software

You'll Thrive Here If You've Done This Before

  • Managed large, complex, custom projects with hard deadlines and high-visibility stakeholders
  • Worked in event production, commercial construction, custom fabrication, signage, experiential marketing, or a similarly fast-paced build-and-deliver environment — exhibit industry experience is a plus but not required
  • Managed client relationships at the senior or executive level
  • Led cross-functional teams through production or operations workflows under time pressure
  • Held the line when things got tight — calmly, clearly, and without losing anyone's respect

    Requirements

  • 3–10 years of project management or operational management experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with compressed timelines and shifting priorities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills — clear, concise, and honest under pressure
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with project management software
  • Willingness to travel for trade shows (typically 1–4 shows per year, 1 week or less per trip)
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD/technical drawings is a plus
  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred

    Compensation & Details

  • Location: On-site in Whitinsville, MA, Monday–Friday — not a remote or hybrid role
  • Compensation: $90,000-$100,00 + discretionary annual bonus
  • Travel: 1–4 trade shows per year, typically 1 week or less each
  • Transition support: the outgoing PM remains engaged with the account for 6–8 months

We built a team around this client. There is a strong production crew that knows the properties, knows the processes, and will have your back. What we need is the person at the front of the room who can take all of that and drive it across the finish line, every time.

Equal Opportunity Employer

We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where all employees are treated with respect and dignity. Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.
