About the Role

We're looking for an Trade show Exhibit Project Manager to lead our Booth Builders and oversee project operations from end to end. This role is both hands-on and highly organizedโ€”you'll be responsible not just for building and execution, but for keeping projects on track, teams aligned, and communication flowing across departments. In this role, no two days look the sameโ€”one moment you're managing workflow, the next you're helping build a trade show booth that thousands will see. You'll collaborate closely with Graphics, AV, Production, Sales, and Pre-Production to deliver high-quality exhibits and branded environments nationwide.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

  • Work hands-on with the Booth Buildersโ€” this is not a desk-only role
  • Assign, coordinate, and monitor daily tasks to keep projects on schedule
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse across all facilities
  • Track employee attendance, breaks, and punctuality
  • Oversee building and equipment maintenance (forklifts, lifts, tools, company vehicles)
  • Support shipping/receiving and ensure accurate handling of exhibits and materials
  • Manage inventory, repairs, and refurbishment of client and rental assets
  • Help create and maintain production schedules

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Provide daily direction, training, and support to Booth Builders
  • Hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive, productive environment
  • Step in to solve problems and keep projects moving forward
  • Collaborate closely with Graphics, Logistics, AV, Sales, and Pre-Production teams

Cross Department Communication (Critical to Success)

  • Serve as the communication bridge between Booth Builders and other departments
  • Provide clear, timely updates on project status, needs, and issues
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure projects are fully prepared before execution
  • Respond to emails and digital communication in a professional and timely manner

Quality & Safety

  • Enforce safety procedures in the warehouses and on job sites
  • Conduct quality checks at every stage of the build process
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including progress updates and sign-offs

Qualifications

Essential

  • Experience as a Booth Builders Lead, Exhibit Builder, Crew Leader, Construction Supervisor, or similar role
  • Strong carpentry, fabrication, or exhibit-building skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Experience in exhibitions, trade shows, shopfitting, or similar environments
  • Proven leadership and team management ability
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable using computers for daily work (email, scheduling, tracking)
  • Ability to write clear, professional emails and communicate across departments
  • Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and power tools
  • Ability to lift 50โ€“100+ lbs. (with assistance as needed)

Desirable

  • Experience working with premium brands or high-end finishes
  • OSHA or safety certifications
  • Forklift certification
  • Valid driver's license

Pay range and compensation package

Competitive compensation package: $30โ€“$34/hour, plus $5Kโ€“$10K annual overtime, $3-5K annual bonus, up to $600/month medical reimbursement, 401(k) match, 2 weeks PTO, and 3 sick days.
