Account Executive (Solutions) Pay Range: $48/hour to $58/hour Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, driven, and relationship-focused Sales Executive to join our team. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial sales professional who thrives on ownership, enjoys building strong customer relationships, and is motivated by developing new business while expanding existing accounts.
The Sales Executive will own the sales process from lead generation through close, build and manage a qualified pipeline, sell technology and service solutions, and collaborate closely with internal technical, operations, finance, marketing, manufacturer, and channel partner teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead Generation & Pipeline Development
  • Generate and develop a consistent pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities aligned with the organization's Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs).
  • Conduct proactive outbound sales activities, including email, phone calls, in-person visits, industry trade shows, conferences, networking, and other business development activities.
  • Identify and qualify prospective customers based on business need, budget, timeline, and decision-making authority.
  • Research prospective customers and develop an understanding of their business challenges, objectives, and technology needs.
  • Build relationships with customers, vendors, manufacturers, channel partners, and referral sources to generate additional business opportunities.
  • Proactively identify customer and partner referrals to expand the organization's network and pipeline.
Sales Process & Revenue Growth
  • Own and manage the complete sales process from lead to close.
  • Sell technology solutions, professional services, and recurring service or support offerings.
  • Build, manage, and advance a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Maintain appropriate margin thresholds while consistently working toward or exceeding quarterly sales targets.
  • Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships to identify upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities.
  • Evaluate public and private RFP opportunities for strategic fit, competitiveness, and likelihood of success.
  • Lead and coordinate the internal process for responding to qualified RFP opportunities.
  • Maintain momentum throughout the sales cycle and proactively address obstacles that could delay or prevent a successful close.
  • Support activities that accelerate project initiation, invoicing, and revenue realization.
Customer & Internal Collaboration
  • Partner with technical specialists, Solutions Architects, Sales Engineers, and other subject-matter experts to develop and deliver compelling customer presentations.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the organization's products, services, and technology solutions and communicate their value effectively to prospects and customers.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Finance, Project Management, and other internal teams to ensure successful customer handoffs and project execution.
  • Assist with the transition of newly won customers and projects to the appropriate delivery or operations teams.
  • Maintain productive relationships with manufacturers, distributors, strategic partners, and other channel organizations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the sales process and beyond.
CRM & Sales Management
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of leads, opportunities, activities, contacts, and customer information within the organization's CRM system.
  • Keep pipeline information, forecasts, next steps, and opportunity stages current and accurate.
  • Provide regular feedback to Sales and Marketing leadership regarding:
    • Effectiveness of outbound sales activities
    • ICP and buyer persona targeting
    • Market and competitive intelligence
    • Customer needs and trends
    • Prospect feedback, objections, and responses
    • New business opportunities and areas for growth
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of industry-related sales experience
  • Experience using a CRM system; HubSpot experience preferred
  • Proven experience managing a sales pipeline and owning the sales process from prospecting through close
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly learn technical concepts, products, and services and communicate them effectively to customers
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • High level of integrity, empathy, and professionalism
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
