Job description

Meta is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Monetization Business Development team. In this role, you will identify, structure, and execute strategic partnerships that drive growth and monetization across Meta's products and platforms. You will work at the intersection of business strategy, product development, and external partner relationships—shaping how Meta expands its ecosystem through high-impact deals. This role requires deep expertise in deal-making, market analysis, and cross-functional leadership to influence company-wide strategic direction.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute Meta's partnership strategy, identifying high-value opportunities that align with long-term business objectives
  • Lead end-to-end deal processes including opportunity identification, term sheet development, negotiation, and execution of complex agreements
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, legal, finance, and policy teams to structure deals that are technically feasible, commercially sound, and legally compliant
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and whitespace opportunities that inform partnership priorities
  • Drive internal alignment on partnership strategy by presenting recommendations and business cases to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Translate complex partner and market dynamics into actionable strategic recommendations that influence product roadmaps and go-to-market plans

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or corporate development in a technology or platform company
  • Demonstrated track record of independently leading and closing large, complex, multi-year agreements with executive-level counterparties
  • Experience developing and driving business strategies and initiatives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with significant organizational impact
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams—including legal, finance, product, and engineering—through the full lifecycle of a strategic deal
  • Experience communicating strategic recommendations and business cases to senior leadership and executive stakeholders through written and verbal formats

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience operating at a staff level within a business development or corporate strategy function, with demonstrated influence on company-wide priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience in investment banking or management consulting
  • Background in platform ecosystems, digital advertising, consumer technology, or enterprise software partnerships
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact such as efficiency gains or improved deal velocity
