Job description

Meta is seeking an experienced social creative lead to join our executive communications team. This role will help determine the creative vision and social content strategy across one of our C-suite executive's platforms, guiding the team in delivering high-impact, culturally relevant storytelling that showcases Meta's products, strengthens executive voices, and keeps both at the forefront of technology and cultural conversations.We're looking for someone with a proven track record of developing original, creative concepts that drive engagement; this person should also consistently develop original creative concepts and maintain a consistent pipeline of content ideas. They have extensive experience across technology, internet culture, and storytelling, constantly spotting opportunities and developing original concepts that people genuinely want to watch, share, and talk about.This is not a traditional creative director role. This person should be equally comfortable pitching a new content franchise, shaping the creative vision for a keynote, leading brainstorming sessions, or rolling up their sleeves to execute a social campaign. They're motivated to learn continuously, with a genuine appetite for diving deep into Meta's products and understanding how they work, quickly translating technical innovations into stories that feel human, accessible, and culturally relevant. Just as importantly, they help elevate creative quality across the team by providing constructive feedback, sharing best practices, and championing ambitious ideas, fostering ambitious, original thinking across the team.A major focus of the role will be helping to define the creative direction for Meta Connect, working across keynote storytelling, product demos, livestream experiences, creator collaborations, and social strategy to help make Connect one of the industry's most innovative technology events.
Social Creative Lead, Executive Communications Responsibilities:
  • Help determine the creative strategy for executive storytelling across social platforms, major product announcements, keynote moments, and cultural conversations
  • Generate original creative concepts and build a pipeline of ideas that strengthen executive storytelling and create moments audiences want to watch, share, and discuss
  • Develop recurring content franchises and editorial programming that build authentic executive voices over time
  • Help define the keynote creative vision for Meta Connect across keynote storytelling, product demos, livestream experiences, creator collaborations, and social strategy
  • Partner closely with product teams to develop deep product fluency, translating emerging technologies and complex innovations into compelling stories and experiences
  • Help determine the most effective storytelling format for every communication—from short-form video and carousels to keynote experiences, documentaries, creator partnerships, and experimental formats. Concept and execute earned social moments and culturally relevant activations that shape conversations around Meta's products and executives
  • Lead and participate in creative brainstorming sessions, contributing original ideas while elevating the quality of thought across the broader team
  • Translate audience insights, performance data, platform behaviors, and emerging trends into actionable creative direction and scalable content strategies
  • Prioritize and manage multiple high-profile initiatives based on impact, deadlines, and stakeholder needs, balancing long-term creative vision with rapid execution

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in developing creative strategy, social storytelling, editorial programming, or content strategy for a technology company, creator, media organization, entertainment brand, or global consumer company
  • Experience generating original creative ideas and using editorial judgment to evaluate content for audience relevance, brand alignment, and cultural timeliness to identify culturally relevant storytelling opportunities and develop social-first content
  • Experience translating complex technical products and emerging technologies into clear, compelling stories across a variety of formats
  • Experience leading cross-functional creative initiatives from concept to execution, partnering effectively with executives, communications, product, marketing, design, and production teams in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments
  • Portfolio showcasing original, high-performing creative work across social platforms, campaigns, live experiences, or executive storytelling
  • Experience working across the creative development process, from concept through execution, in collaboration with cross-functional creative teams

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Proven ability to identify and capitalize on emerging cultural moments, platform trends, and audience behaviors to create timely, high-impact storytelling
  • Experience with the creative development process, with the ability to work across multiple visual styles, storytelling formats, and production approaches
  • Experience in developing creative strategies for executives, founders, or public-facing leaders
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience shaping storytelling for major product launches, keynote presentations, or large-scale live events
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact
