About Us:

On Site Personnel is a fast-growing staffing and workforce solutions company providing temporary staffing, payroll services, and workforce management across multiple states. We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and payroll oversight in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Position Summary:

The Controller will oversee all accounting and financial operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic staffing environment and has experience managing large payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Month-End Close.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Manage banking relationships, external audits, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls while identifying opportunities to improve financial processes.
  • Oversee payroll accounting and payroll reconciliations.
  • Partner with operations and executive leadership on strategic planning and financial decision-making.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
  • Assist with workers' compensation reporting, payroll tax compliance, and multi-state accounting operations.
  • Support accounting system enhancements and reporting automation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of Controller or Assistant Controller experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP or accounting software (QuickBooks Enterprise, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the staffing industry, temporary staffing, payroll services, or payroll leasing (PEO/EOR) is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing high-volume payroll of 500–1,000+ employees per week is required.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll, payroll tax compliance, workers' compensation, and unemployment insurance.
  • Experience with Avionté staffing software is a plus.
