Title: Controller
Compensation: Up to $110,000 USD base salary
Location: San Antonio

This is an amazing opportunity for a Non-Profit accounting and finance leader make a real impact in a well-known, mission-driven organization as part of its 100-year legacy! Open to strong Accounting Managers and Assistant Controllers ready to step into their first Controller role. We are expediting this search and will move quickly!

Key Responsibilities of the Controller

  • Lead and manage all accounting and finance operations, ensuring accuracy across full-cycle and fund accounting
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, monthly management reporting, audit prep, and compliance
  • Supervise a team handling AP, AR, revenue recognition, and support staff development
  • Oversee fund tracking (donor intent, endowments, deferred revenue), and continuously enhance financial systems and reporting
  • Manage payroll processes and partner with HR to streamline operations

Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
  • 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility, ideally in nonprofit or fund accounting
  • Advanced user of Excel and demonstrated experience with accounting/ERP systems (preference for Blackbaud Financial Edge)
  • Track record of process improvement, budgeting, and audit readiness in a mission-oriented organization
