JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Finance Manager will oversee the budget and finances of management services of Tuerk House under the Finance Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepares corporate financial statements in a timely fashion.
  • Creates and maintains a series of financial controls and procedures.
  • Conducts periodic audits of budget items, including comparing per diems to actual expenses and other budget-to-actual comparisons.
  • Provides relevant financial information to executive management team.
  • Oversees and takes responsibility for all financial procedures and records.
  • Maintains corporate checking accounts and invoices.
  • Responsible for the various ledgers including cash disbursements, cash receipts, accounts payable, month-end payroll summary, accounts receivable summary, and journal entries to adjust the general ledger.
  • Generates monthly reports including accounts payable reconciliation, accounts receivable reconciliation, cash flow report, and balance sheet audits.
  • Hires and trains new employees in the finance department.
  • Supervises and manages the finance assignments and priorities.
  • Assigns financial responsibilities in consultation with the Director of Finance.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Performs other related duties.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • CPA LICENSE REQUIRED (Certified Public Accountant)
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Economics, or Finance
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience; OR a relevant Master's degree with five (5) years of experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to create and manage corporate budgets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide accounting services as detailed in management agreement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, as well as budget creation and analysis software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of budgetary and accounting principles, practices, and policies.
  • Personal belief in recovery and the recovery process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, clients, and the public.
  • High energy, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to engage clients flexibly based on their individual needs.
  • Respect for and maintenance of professional boundaries with all individuals.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Proficiency in reading, understanding, and speaking English.

Background: This position requires successful background and drug test completion

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and bending.

The compensation for this position will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills, job-related knowledge, and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus.
