Job description

Associate Account Executive - Club
Utz Quality Foods is seeking an Associate Account Executive to help grow our Club business with some of the most influential retailers in the country-Costco, Sam's Club, and BJ's. In this remote role, you'll partner closely with our VP of Sales - Club and cross-functional teams to keep day-to-day execution running smoothly, turn data into actionable insights, and strengthen customer relationships that drive sustainable top- and bottom-line growth.
We need someone located on the West Coast for this position.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Own day-to-day account execution for Club customers, partnering closely with the VP of Sales - Club.
  • Support customer needs across pricing, item setup/buy docs, promotions, and Business Planning (BP) entries.
  • Manage key trade spend workflows, including Costco trade spend tracking, deductions follow-up, and maintaining price sheets/trade rates.
  • Monitor sales performance (e.g., CRX), share weekly/monthly reporting, and surface opportunities to improve results.
  • Build clear, data-backed customer materials and presentations using syndicated data and tools like Power BI and CRX.
  • Coordinate product demos and sampling-from scheduling to shipment logistics and follow-through.
  • Partner cross-functionally (Logistics, brokers, Finance/AP) to resolve issues and deliver strong in-store execution.
  • Support new item agreements, customer audits, and special projects as needed; travel periodically for in-person meetings (~25%).
  • Salary $70k to $85k.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college with a focus on business, preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience
  • 3+ years in a related role within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), including direct customer communication.

Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable partnering with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); Power BI preferred.
  • Analytical mindset-able to assess multiple data sources and translate insights into clear next steps.
  • Detail-oriented and organized; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort with trade spend/accrual concepts (or eagerness to learn) and with customer audit support.
  • Costco CRX familiarity is a plus.

  • 7+ years proven sales experience in a related position within the consumer products goods industry with direct account responsibility.
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing syndicated data.

  • Ability to analyze and evaluate several sources of data to develop actionable insights.
  • This position requires extensive use of computer equipment. Must have a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft business software to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Familiarity with Nielsen or IRI programs is preferred.
  • Requires a valid driver's license.
