Job description

Genesis Health Clubs is currently looking for a Kids Club Coordinator for one of our Kansas Region clubs! This engaging leadership opportunity is a full time position that may temporarily have part time hours due to Covid-19. Title: Kids Club Coordinator
Reports to: Regional Youth Director/ Regional Kids Club Director, Club Manager
As a Kids Club Coordinator, the following is expected:
Purpose: Staff is Family and together, we help people take charge of their health!
  • The Kids Club Coordinator will operate 100% of the time with our Purpose serving as the foundation for the decisions and actions they choose.
Performance Management
  • The Coordinator will provide the Kids Club Team with real-time verbal and written performance feedback.
  • The Coordinator will coach using the tools and in support of Purpose and Values.
  • The Coordinator is responsible for performing 6-month and 12-month Duo Reviews with each and every Team member for whom they are directly responsible.
  • The Coordinator is responsible for facilitating a regular cadence of meeting with their team to support with ongoing training and team development.
  • The Coordinator is responsible for completing and tracking weekly/monthly Operations Audits within the Kids Club.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Is responsible for engaging with all children and Team Members in their designated area with a positive, proactive, and respectful attitude.
  2. Has an explicit understanding of all specific duties and responsibilities for the Kids Club Team and of all procedures within the department and coaches others in doing the same.
  3. Is a Team resource for fun, high energy, and age appropriate child activities.
  4. Is accountable for the overall member experience at their Kids Club location and supports the Team in handling member questions and concerns.
  5. Is competent in regards to all Youth Programing and seeks clarity when needed. When it serves, support families in finding the right programing fit.
  6. Is aware of the clubs hiring needs and supports with the hiring process; interviewing applicants and arranging a working interview, when appropriate. The Kids Club Coordinator is responsible for the onboarding of all new hires on their team.
  7. Provides training for all Kids Club staff with regard to daily operations, expectations, developmentally appropriate engagement with youth, and promotions of all youth happenings/ programs at the club.
  8. Responsible for executing and staffing each months Parents Night Out Event.
  9. Responsible for working mixed shifts weekly to include an opening, evening, and weekend shift to support the Team and operations within the department.
  10. Responsible for organizing the Team to ensure all areas are appropriately staffed and use Purpose, Values, and tools to contact and/or relieve Team members to maintain appropriate ratios.
  11. Responsible for running/reviewing the daily Kids Club reports to closely monitor and track child check-in numbers and visit sales/usage.
  12. Responsible for organizing child documents for my location and ensuring that parent and child information including photos are updated. When applicable, enter and flag allergy and/or medical condition information in the appropriate system.
  13. Establish and maintain desk and paperwork organization ensuring all supplies and forms are available for the location and replenish as needed.
  14. Responsible for ensuring all Kids Club team time clock entries are correct update any needed corrections and follow up with Team members when necessary.
  15. Perform Zone Management functions and am accountable for ensuring the Kids Club zone is Brand and FUN multiple times throughout a shift. The Coordinator will hold the Kids Club Team accountable for following all zone procedures and completing checklists.
  16. Maintains proper uniform standards and coaches the Team in doing the same.
  17. Creates and manages the Kids Club attendant schedule for their location directly supporting with shifts where needed.
  18. The Kids Club Coordinator is ultimately responsible for opening and closing the Kids Club when a Team member misses, is sick, or there is a lack of coverage.
  19. Performing a weekly supplies count and am responsible for making new purchases in line with the department budget.
  20. Has understanding of the clearly defined fiscal and numeric goals for the department and is aware of the fiscal impact to the company of each decision.
  21. Attends all mandatory meetings and Team Building Calls with their Regional Director and is responsible for disseminating appropriate learning and information to rest of the Kids Club team.
  22. Attends all weekly club specific tactical and department head meetings.
  23. Works in conjunction with Regional Youth Director to move the Kids Club Team A+.
  24. Works to develop strong relationships with members and Team members, and is committed to creating an On-Brand, enjoyable and inviting atmosphere for children, members, and the Team.
PHYSICAL and MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. This position is compensated hourly, has a 30 hour/week minimum requirement, and is eligible for benefits.
  2. This position requires a person be physically fit and mentally alert. There may be a need for standing, walking, sitting, lifting, kneeling, reaching, handling, thinking, reasoning, and calculating - some of it constant.
  3. This position has an inherent amount of physical and mental stress. All candidates must be prepared for and capable of adapting to such conditions.
  4. The ability to efficiently run Excel, Word, Outlook, and other software packages used by the Company is a requirement for this position.
  5. A positive attitude and professional behavior are expected and displayed consistently in all dealings with members and/or fellow Team members. This person is expected to be a role model on a daily basis as a living example of the Purpose and Values of the Company.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  1. 18+ years old with High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Maintained First Aid and CPR certifications to include infant, child, and adult.
  3. A strong understanding of child needs and development with a minimum of one year experience.
  4. Healthy and physically fit.
  5. Literate in English and basic math.
  6. Highly motivated and enthusiastic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. A strong understanding of Customer Service.
  8. Leadership expertise appropriate to the position.
  9. Effective organizational skills.
  10. Available to work a flexible schedule as the position demands.
  11. Responsible for securing reliable transportation to and from work.
