Compensation

Period Activity Pay Hire
- You will receive a room waiver for a single traditional occupancy room for the 2026-2027 academic year. If you choose to live in the Suites@201, you will need to pay the difference in room rate between the Suites and a traditional residence hall room;
- If over-occupancy occurs, RHA executives may choose a roommate, or one could be assigned on a temporary basis. Housing and Residence Life will determine the additional compensation for the RHA with the roommate.
- You will receive $400 for your 1st and 2nd semester of service; and $450 for each semester after the 2nd;
- You are obligated to take a meal plan, at your own expense, unless you live in Hyer Hall or the Suites @201 and depending on other housing policies.
Hours
Student can work a maximum of 20 hours per week total during the academic semesters.
Job Description
This is your contract and appointment as a Residence Hall Association Executive Board Member at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point for the academic year noted above. The responsibilities and expectations of an RHA Executive Board member are outlined below. These fundamentals are meant to be used in accomplishing the policies, programs, and activities of your position. Therefore, it is necessary that you be familiar with the job description as that includes specific requirements of your individual position for which you will be held accountable.
The general purpose of the RHA Executive Board is to provide leadership to the RHA General Assembly. In addition, RHA Executive Board, in conjunction with the General Assembly, recommends policies to the Department of Housing and Residence Life, provides educational and social programs for the residence hall population, as well as the campus-wide population, and provides leadership development opportunities for the residence hall leadership team members.
Conditions of Employment
- Employment begins May 1, 2026 and ends May 1, 2027; Payment begins at the start of the academic year
- You must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and remain in good academic standing. If your semester GPA is 1.50 or lower, your contract may be rescinded;
- You must remain in good University and Conduct standing;
- You must live in the residence hall as this is the population you are serving and representing;
- Give your position as RHA Executive Board member priority over all other areas of activity except your academic work;
- Due to the time demands of the position, outside employment and activities need approval from the RHA Advisor
- You must model positive behaviors appropriate to a University community and behave in a manner consistent with all rules and regulations expected of all students and employees of UW-Stevens Point;
- You must return to campus around the week of August 16, 2026 (specific date to be determined), and participate in all RHA Executive Board training sessions, as well as any centralized training for the residence hall leaders.
- This employment offer is conditional pending the results of a criminal background check and misconduct reference check with vulnerable populations. Employment will be withdrawn or terminated if the results are unacceptable.
- This contract will be terminated if either of the above conditions become null and void.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Fulfill all duties and responsibilities as outlined for the position in the current RHA Constitution;
- Participate in a Fall RHA Executive Board Training Workshop and a Spring RHA Executive Board Training Workshop;
- Participate in a Spring Semester transitional workshop (date to be chosen during the spring semester);
- Participate in any campus-wide leadership development as deemed appropriate;
- Be an authorized driver of university vehicles so as to assist with program deliveries, conference participation, and other necessary travel;
- Serve as Campus Security Authority, as outlined by the Clery Act, to include completion of required training and reporting of all crimes to the university;
- As an employee of the university, report witnessed or otherwise reported incidents of sexual assault to the Office of the Dean of Students (36.11(22)(c)));
- Serve as a Responsible Employee, as defined by Title IX and UWSP Policy 14.2, to report thorough and complete information about alleged sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and any other gender-based discrimination
Fulfill any other duties as assigned by the Housing and Residence Life Central Staff.
