Job description

Great news! Schillings is currently looking for a Contractor Counter Sales Assistant at our Saint John, IN location. We offer competitive pay along with a full package of benefits and opportunities for advancement. This position will be full-time, with no nights or Sundays. No previous experience required, training is provided!
Responsibilities:
  • First point of contact for all contractors and customers
  • Answer all phone calls
  • Organize and file paperwork
  • Provide excellent customer service to contractors, vendors, and customers
  • Maintain cleanliness of front counter
    • Including stocking samples, shelves, marketing brochures, and organizing filing system
  • Ability to communicate with all Salespeople and management
  • Complete all returns including special orders
  • Assist the sales team with quotes, orders, special orders, and setting up deliveries through Dispatch
    • Quoting lumber, trim, interior & exterior doors
    • Using quoting software to quote windows & doors
  • Verify and correct orders including quantities, product, addresses, etc.. with customer and Salesperson
  • Gain product knowledge to quote and sell Schillings products efficiently
  • Work with vendors for quotes and orders
  • Follow up with customers to let them know product lead times and when product is in
  • Work with all Schilling departments to provide a positive selling experience for every customer
  • Any other tasks or areas of responsibility that management or Schilling family deem appropriate

Education/Required Skills:
