THE ROLE

The Events Truck Driver is a part-time employee supporting the Events Team in transporting merchandise to and from client events throughout the United States on a part-time "as needed" basis. The Events Driver is a Class A CDL license holder with experience operating diesel-powered tractor-trailers combination/pick-up trucks, gooseneck trailers combination/pick-up trucks, tag trailer combination and others. The Events Truck Driver will have a tremendous amount of interaction and personal involvement with leadership and staff and must always represent Legends Global Merchandise in a professional, gracious, and knowledgeable manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Drives and parks semi-tractor/trailer, equipment and other designated vehicle to events as scheduled
  • Maintains driver log according to DOT regulations.
  • Inspects vehicles for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating their condition.
  • Ensures proper care, use, and organization of all equipment prior to, during, and after the event.
  • Maintenance, cleaning, and detailing of company vehicles.
  • Skilled to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Assists with loading and unloading, desired (negotiable)
  • Adheres to Legends' policies and procedures associated with the event personnel
  • Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License, required
  • Ability to drive out of state on a "as needed" part-time basis throughout the year. The length of stay will depend on the distance of travel and duration of the event.
  • Organized, self-motivated, team player who can work independently as well as within a group
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

COMPENSATION

Competitive hourly pay, commensurate with experience, and a benefits package that includesper diem, paid hotel stays if applicable.
