PCI is seeking a full-time hourly Estimating Assistant for its PCI Las Vegas 558 operations based on an active construction jobsite in Las Vegas, NV. The Estimating Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Estimating team with the following duties:

This individual will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Maintaining vendor relations by delivering excellent customer service in person, and via phone and email
  • Coordinating delivery logistics on jobsites by communicating with field leaders and the PCI branch
  • Ensuring material deliveries are accompanied by proper documentation and aligned with purchase orders
  • Coordinating with suppliers and field leaders to confirm timely, accurate order delivery and drop-off locations
  • Verifying that material quantities match existing purchase orders
  • Collaborating with administrative team to resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and materials received
  • Performing routine tracking and data entry with a high level of accuracy
  • Inputting project information into Microsoft Excel and cloud file management software
  • Maintaining accurate and timely project documentation and correspondence
  • Tracking and cost-value material handling

This position is safety sensitive. Please note, this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Hourly Wage: $20-27 an hour, depending on experience.

Basic Requirements: 

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience with construction material yard work, interior construction, delivery logistics coordination, inventory tracking, or retail stocking is required
  • Exhibits strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Displays excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to receive and follow direction from multiple sources
  • Possesses strong attention to detail
  • Must have basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook
  • Demonstrates proactivity, self-accountability, and the ability to multitask
  • Employs critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Displays eagerness to acquire new skills and implement them quickly and effectively
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
  • Displays a sense of urgency when mitigating issues
  • Showcases robust customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Must have reliable transportation 

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Local to the Las Vegas area
  • Current University of Nevada, Las Vegas student
  • Experience processing or verifying purchase orders is a plus
  • Experience working in the construction industry or familiarity with materials is preferred
  • Experience with tracking inventory and/or scheduling deliveries is preferred
