Job description

Role and Responsibilities

Estimating Assistant is responsible for overseeing administrative tasks to ensure the estimating and project management departments have accurate, well-maintained bid folders, invitations to bid are sent to vendors, tracking and following up on plans, bid schedules, and serving administrative needs of the estimating department.

 Qualifications and Education Requirements

Combination of education and experience to equal at least 5 years experience required

Required Skills

·       Download Plans and Organize Into Bidding Folders

·       Draft and Submit ITB’S and Ensure They Are Returned Timely To Submit CSD Bid

·       Procure New Subcontractors and Vendors

·       Create and File Bidding Folders and Documents

·       Create and Update ITB Log

·       Draft and Submit ITB’S For Project Buyouts

·       Review Procured Data With Estimator and Participate In Bidding Process When Needed

·       Draft Rough Schedules For Submissions With Bids

·       Print Plans and Distribute To Estimator

·       Submit Bid Packages When Needed

·       Attend Pre-Bid Meetings When Needed

·       Assemble Job Notices

·       Assemble Equipment Lists

·       Complete Supplier Comparisons For Review

·       Help With Ensuring Bidding Data Is Properly Filed
